Moving On Campaign 2010

Moving on is a joint campaign with the Stroke Association and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. The campaign calls for better access to community based (post hospital) physiotherapy for stroke survivors.
The Maidenhead & District Stroke Club was proud to host the launch of the Moving On Campaign, with best wishes or speeches from Theresa May MP for Maidenhead, Fiona McTaggert MP for Slough, Deputy Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead Counsellor Asghar Majeed and his Consort, Ms Naheed Majeed, Stroke Co-ordinator Dawn Wood, Long Terms Condition Manager for Slough Penny Ascough and Neuro Therapist from St Marks Hospital Rebecca Ratford.
UPDATE : NOVEMBER 2010
The BERKSHIRE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION has made a Grassroots Grant to the Maidenhead Stroke Club of £3000.
As the Maidenhead Stroke Club relies purely on donations, this generous grant will enable us to assess the physiotherapy needs of many of our members and provide funding.
Every penny of the grant will go towards this and assessments will begin within the next few weeks.
